Welcome to the new homepage for First Steps Washtenaw - Saline Area Schools!
First Steps Washtenaw is a home-school-community partnership that is available to all families in the Saline Area Schools district. It is open to all families with children birth to kindergarten age and focuses on improving school readiness and parent/child interactions. Services that are offered include:
- Parent/child playgroups
- Personalized home visits
- Periodic screening to assess overall development, including health, hearing and vision
- Delivers information and resources about early childhood development and community services
- Parent support and information sessions
- These have included:
- Infant/Toddler massage instruction
- Becoming a Love & Logic Parent
- Infant/Toddler First Aid & CPR classes
- Preschool/Kindergarten readiness
